Services Inc. offers opportunities to improve independent
living and vocational skills in natural and integrated community
settings. Services include occupational therapy intervention,
national workshops and consulting. Special interests include
animal assisted interventions, assistance dogs as assistive
technology options, and program development.

was introduced to Dogwood Therapy Services in 2004 when she came from Ohio to complete a 3-month occupational therapy clinical rotation. She permanently moved from Ohio to New Mexico in 2008. Brooke has experience working with children and adults in settings including inpatient, outpatient, acute psychiatric/mental health, and with community-based services. She has been trained to utilize animal assisted therapy and is a certified AniCare provider. Brooke practices OT with her canine co-therapist, Karat.
Karat received her training at Circle Tail, an organization that trains assistance dogs, in Ohio. Karat has since been registered with Therapy Dogs International and Delta Society.
is an occupational therapist with a previous education and background in social work. Dogwood was fortunate to have Alisha complete a college project with Dogwood in 2008. Alisha has experience with all ages in settings including home, school, clinical, community, and inpatient rehabilitation. Alisha is the parent of two boys, one of whom has been diagnosed with Autism. Alisha offers clinical and community based services through Dogwood, and has a special interest in family supported intervention. Alisha’s husband, Doc, maintains this website through their family business, Calbazon LLC.
