Dogwood Therapy Services is announces the release of the DOGWOOD DOGA Deck. The easy to use set offers an occupational therapists perspective on having a canine co-therapist work with clients to reach functional goals including: health maintenance, neuromusculoskeletal and motor skills, sensory and executive functions, communication and interaction skills, and more! The deck uses pictures and text to detail 22 activities (each with additional modifications), the basics of creating the environment, the dog’s perspective and recommended skills, and precautions for people and dogs.
This set is appropriate for healthcare and social service providers, professionals, teachers and parents who have experience with biomechanics/yoga and who have access to dogs that can demonstrate basic obedience and solid interaction skills.
