Delta Society Pet Partner Self-Study Group
Ages 13 and up. Interested in learning about pet visitations or animal assisted therapy? Dogwood will be hosting two different study groups for this topic. Choice number 1 will be on Thursdays from 2-4 p.m. and Choice number 2 will take place on the second and fourth Fridays of the month from 4-6 p.m. Both study groups will take place at Dogwood 7818 Pan American Freeway E, NE in Albuquerque. We will be using the most recent Delta Society Pet Partners Team Training Student Manual, which is available at carrierzone.com
SKU: PPN300, Price: ($37.50) with tax and shipping ($8.45) for a total of $45.95. We will be meeting for 12-16 weeks (there will be a two week break in April/May) starting the Thursday study group on Thursday, Feb. 11th and the other will start on Friday, Feb. 12th, 2010.
We ask for a $2 donation per study group to help cover overhead of the space use. email melissa@dogwoodtherapy.com for more information. This group is ongoing.
Community Game Nights $2 per person
Spend some time playing board games, card games, video games. This is a place to hang out and relax with friends &/or family, and to make some new friends! Occurs the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month- 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Petiquette Family Dog Training Class
$99 (adults) / $50 (juniors) for 6 weeks Taught by Leo Abordo from Chile Agility
Group class: House and food manners, basic commands, use of rewards and cues, various discussion topics. All skills done on leash. This six week course is meant for multigenerational people and dogs. Social Graces

Group class: Group Class: Door manners, loose leash walking, meeting and greeting, practicing with Distance and Distractions, various discussion topics. Some skills done off leash.
Prerequisite: Team must be able to demonstrate sit, down and come without handler touching dog.
